I have over 5 years' experience running a well-respected dog walking service in the Hemel Hempstead area. Providing the quality of care I would expect for my own animals.
I am fully Pet Business insured, DBS checked and Canine first Responder trained. I am fully confident and capable in the handling and understanding of breeds of all sizes.
I live with my adult Son in Hemel Hempstead, where I was born and raised.
After a 25 year career as a professional Chef, catering for the elite. I went on to manage and rejuvenate struggling catering units. Having made a success of my occupation, I craved a change of scenery and pace.
I wanted to pursue a vocation that combined my love of nature and the outdoors, with my love for Dogs. So, In 2018 Dacorum Dog Walking was born. I’ve never looked back, loving what I do every single day. Even in the rain!
I’ve always had a Canine companion by my side, I don’t believe a house is a home without a dog. I have also kept Snakes, reptiles and practiced Marine Fish husbandry for several years. Unusual species are fascinating.
Aside from walks with my Dog, my hobbies include painting and sculpture, which has led to me exhibiting and selling my work with some small success. Becoming an Artist came as quite a surprise, despite always being creative.
Fluke is my 9 year old, female Labrador retriever with bags of personality. She’s a very independent, sometimes stubborn girl, but has the waggiest tail and loves to greet everyone she meets. She helps lead the way for the rest of the group and keeps them in line. Fluke takes good care of her pack members, looking out for them and breaking up the odd disagreement.
However.... she IS a Labrador. So always on the lookout for food, a natural forager and expert in sniffing out anything to eat. And I mean ANYTHING!
Pack walking is great socialisation for dogs. It gives them the opportunity to make friends, play and build their confidence.
I choose a variety of countryside locations in the area, to provide a stimulating and safe experiences for your dog. Woodland, open fields and water can be explored and enjoyed. A happy, protected pack is my priority. They will receive my full, diligent attention and interaction at all times, with some games and affection for good measure.
Your dog will travel in comfort in a fully equipped van. With a bespoke crate system with non-slip matting, a back seat with all necessary harnesses and securing straps, with a view of outside and daylight at all times.
With plenty of drinking water, full canine first aid kit, dog treats, poop bags, fluffy towels and a small shower for stinky mishaps. There’s everything your dog needs during and after their walk. Photographs and videos are taken on walks for your comfort and sent to you at the end of the day. You can see just how much fun your dog has with their friends.
Groups consist of up to 6 dogs per pack.
